CS-598 MAAV - Homework

Homework 1: (easy get started stuff) Do ex 17.3 and 17.4 in AML. Now do ex 18.5 in AML. Due 10 Sep. Do this in teams of at most 3, and hand in one page at most explaining results of 18.5, by email, in PDF
Challenge 1: Cause the vehicle to brake after detecting a person (answers in teams of no more than five, due early Nov; can be done!
Challenge 2: Build a map of high bay using lidar and ros mapping software. Use a particle filter to localize in this map, using either lidar or vision (answers in teams of no more than five, due end Nov; You may share maps!).
Challenge 3: Does a direct SLAM method work better inside or outside the high bay? (you may use other peoples' software for this; due end Nov)
