Reserving vehicle time

We currently have the vehicle for Thursdays and Fridays. As the semester proceeds, we will have more time. Details of how to sign up here. Information about how to form groups and how to record who is in a group is here

Vehicle Exercises

The primary purpose of vehicle exercises is to develop skills you will use in producing final projects. Alex Tseng produced a really nice intro document to vehicle use .

• Vehicle exercise 1: Flashing Distress (easy)

  Due 15 Feb(submission date is flexible BUT you should get this done) Notice this does not require a safety driver. Here is a zip file of some starter code.

• Vehicle exercise 2: Braking (harder)

  Due 24 Mar This does require a safety driver.

• Vehicle exercise 3: Controlling distance to a pedestrian

  Due 31 Mar Requires a safety driver

• Vehicle exercise 4: Scribbling with GPS (moderate and valuable)

  Due 14 April Requires a safety driver

• Vehicle exercise 5: Lidar based positioning (harder)

  Due 3 May Requires a safety driver

Final project

Use the results of these exercises and your skill and judgement to cause the vehicle to do something interesting. You should consult with me and Rahul about acceptable final projects. All materials due 12h00 17 May 2023
